Sovereign Heavy Duty ROPS (Roll Over Protection System) Trays

The Sovereign External ROPS (Roll Over Protection System) is an attractive solution to the most demanding applications. Our cutting edge ROPS trays are designed, utilizing an advanced CAD system. Through our advanced engineering practices we analyse and interrogate our design to make sure that we have the best solution for our customer. 

With the changing designs to new generation commercial vehicles and the requirements of fleet clients to be able to provide safe and efficient vehicles, this has in turn challenged tray manufacturers to provide better and safer solutions. 

To best meet the changing requirements we evolved our proven high strength ROPS system and offer two new alternative ROPS solutions. All our solutions go through an extensive engineering evaluation process. 

Through understanding our customers needs and requests we have developed 3 styles of ROPS

Each of these ROPS suit a different purposes for each customer.

Style 1.The Traditional High Strength ROPS

Our high strength ROPS system is the most effective solution in offering “Roll-Over-Protection” in all directions of applying a high load. The heavy-duty H Frame head-board assembly, together with the two rear braces going to the vehicle chassis, deliver unsurpassed integration and protection.

Style 2. The Twin Headboard ROPS

To improve the tray utilisation and still offer high protection in all load-case directions, we created our Twin-hoop ROPS head-board sub-assembly. We removed the intrusive, load limiting rear braces and retain the performance of a good load-case in all direction with under-floor bracing of the “Tray-deck sub-assembly”, Chassis and the “Twin-hoop ROPS head-board assembly. We retain a good all directional ROPS load-case, and can offer a bolt-on HALO option.

This Tray is more suited for dual cab vehicles because of the integrated HALO system providing protection to the occupants in the cab

Style 3. The Single Headboard with Reinforced Safety Frame

The benefit of having vast engineering and data analysing information at hand, enables us to create new “hybrid” alternatives. We applied that approach by retaining our “Heavy-duty Single hoop ROPS” head-board sub-assembly from our conventional ROPS design and substituted the load obstructive rear bracing with under-floor “tray-deck” reinforcements.

We only Make this type of ROPS for Signal Cab Vehicles

Benefits: There is no load area restriction on that ROPS design. Can be used like a standard  tray.

Advanced computer modelling and testing: We have developed our products with our harsh Australian environment in mind and for that reason have applied far greater test-loads than expected in real-world driving conditions. This identifies high stress points enabling us to optimise our design and remove risk areas

Our tray will not let you down in the field

 Heavy Duty Hardware :We use the same heavy duty hardware across the full range of our trays. Our hardware include hinges with nylon bushes, forged gudgens and spring loaded over-centre latches are used to eliminate tray rattle.
